It's not rocket science to install your cup holder but here's a few tips to ensure absolute perfection.
We are now shipping cup holders with two clamp options:
alloy Bike Cup Holder Instructions
Package Contents:
- HandleStash Cup Holder
- 22.2mm and 25.4mm shims
- Foam Spacer (Optional)
- 4mm Allen Wrench
Pick the right shim for your handlebars
Most bike handlebars are 22.2mm, and will use the larger shim.
The smaller shim is for 25.4mm (1") bars. On many bikes this is the bar clamp diameter, so you can mount the cup holder near the stem.
Use the clamp without a shim for 31.8mm (1.25") bars. That's typically the bar clamp diameter for drop bars.
Clamp it down
Use the included allen wrench. You've got this.
Want to mount at an angle or vertical?
Use a 3mm allen (not provided) to loosen the pieces. It'll rotate 30 degrees in one direction - if you want to go the other way or further pull the parts apart and re-install past the stops.
Cinch it just right
Easy Cruising:
Cinch it lightly to just hold the drink - allow the shock absorbing action to absorb the occasional pot hole or sidewalk crack.
Full Throttle:
Blasting cobblestone streets or commuting at max speed? Pull that cinch tight to keep your drink safe.
give short drinks a boost with the foam spacer
Like a booster seat for your drink. Most popular with 12oz cans so they're easier to grab.
Plastic Universal Cup Holder Instructions
Package Contents:
- HandleStash Cup Holder
- Rubber Strip
- Foam Spacer (Optional)
- Security Bolt (Optional)
Wrap the rubber strip around your bar
It ensures the cup holder won't slip or rotate.
The clamp uses a no-tools quick release lever
Pop up the lever and unscrew it until the clamp fits around your bars. Tighten down most of the way, then flip the lever down to clamp tight. Don't be afraid to get it tight - if you break it we'll send you a new one.
Optionally: replace the quick release with the included bolt for a more secure mount.
Rotate the Clamp if mounting at an angle or vertical
Popular for wheelchairs and strollers
Using a #2 Phillips loosen the screw holding the cup holder to the clamp.
It will rotate 30° before hitting a stop. To rotate the other direction or past 30° remove the screw completely and re-assemble the pieces past the stop.
